Care & Cleaning
The best care guide is the one that came with your piece — always start there. These general tips help most furniture last.
Upholstery and performance fabric
- Vacuum weekly with a soft brush attachment; rotate and fluff cushions.
- Blot spills immediately with a clean white cloth — never rub. Test any cleaner on a hidden spot first.
- "Performance" means easier to clean, not stain-proof. Check the cleaning code on the tag (W, S, W/S, X).
- Keep out of direct sun to limit fading.
Leather
- Dust with a dry soft cloth; use only cleaners made for your leather type.
- Keep away from heat sources and direct sun. Natural markings and patina are part of leather's character.
Wood and veneer
- Dust with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth. Use coasters and trivets.
- Avoid silicone polishes and harsh cleaners. Keep away from heat and humidity swings.
Stone, marble and travertine
- Wipe spills immediately — natural stone is porous and can etch or stain, especially from acids like wine or citrus.
- Use pH-neutral stone cleaner and coasters. Reseal as recommended.
Metal, glass and outdoor
- Wipe with a soft cloth and mild soap; dry thoroughly.
- Cover or store outdoor furniture in winter and severe weather.
Bedding, pillows and throws
- Follow the care label. Wash new bedding before first use; use cold water and low heat to minimize shrinkage.
